Thank you for visiting my website! I am dedicated to making your home financing experience a pleasant one. I pride myself on exceeding my customer's expectations at every stage of the process, from a complimentary pre- qualification through an on-time closing. From a First Time Buyer needing a “Mortgage 101”, to a trade up buyer, helping analyze if a refinance is “worth it”, or a senior needing a Reverse Mortgage to stay in their home, I am thorough on explaining the different loan options with the pros & cons. I have an experienced support team focused solely on home financing starting with my personal Sr. Production Assistant, Amy Gremmel NMLS #1281281. After I leave the office for the day, I am a husband of over 35 years to the same lady. We live out in Vernonia with our six dogs (Great Dane to a 4lb Pom), three horses and cats. I run with the dogs each morning for about 45 minutes, rain, snow or sunshine. We have two sons. Our oldest is attending college on the GI Bill after serving as an ARMY nurse for 9 years and our youngest is out of the Air Force attending college as well. My wife & I are both very proud of both of our sons. They are growing into good, decent young men with career goals. It seems I spend a lot of time at Home Depot with minor repairs or remodeling something. We like to camp and go for trail rides on our horses. Oregon has many nice spots to camp & ride within a few hour’s drive of Portland Metro. We go to the coast quite a bit but also go to the Cascades and Willamette Valley. I don’t watch much regular TV except the news but I do enjoy movies at home. I can re-watch some of the old classics every month but I enjoy a wide variety of movies. We go out to dinner occasionally with friends and go for a day drive to the coast at least once a month, year round.
It is never boring and is actually quite satisfying to help people get home loans. Some loans are easy to get approved but others are quite difficult. There have been a lot that were turned down by other lenders that I was able to get approved. When I tell someone they can get the loan they need, whether to buy their dream home or to help a financial situation or crisis, they are appreciative. Helping a "First Time Buyer" understand the process for their first home or helping seniors stay in their long term home with a Reverse Mortgage are both very rewarding.
I am a native Oregonian. I was born and raised in Eugene, and later on I relocated to Corvallis where I attended Oregon State University. Although I grew up in Eugene, I am a fourth generation Beaver and avid fan. I graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Merchandising Management and a minor in Business & Entrepreneurship.
I currently reside in SW Portland near Multnomah Village. I enjoy exploring areas of Portland whenever possible. Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and traveling as much as life allows me to both nationally and internationally.
It sounds like a cliché, but helping people get their home loan is very rewarding to me personally. Whether it’s educating a first time buyer in “Mortgage 101”, lowering someone’s payments, helping a senior stay in their home or helping a homeowner through a financial crisis to a better financial position, I feel like I’m making a difference.
